At Vivace, nothing matters more to us than to see our students foster an enjoyment for music that lasts a lifetime. We strive to inspire our students by assigning a variety of repertoire that caters to each student’s preference in musical genre. We believe that the interest in the repertoire is the best self-motivator for students. It is important for us to get our students to go through discovery learning and having them think on their own rather than merely giving instructions and corrections. Through our music teaching philosophy, we also hope to improve our students in their academic endeavours, to have them transfer the discipline needed to learn piano into school work. It is not only about learning music. It is an opportunity to enhance and expand other life skills: good communication, patience and confidence.
